I have a Ninja cam in front of my house, I noticed someone in my front yard so I tried to follow the person and the camera could not pan fast enough. The person was only walking at a regular pace, not fast and they were about 30 ft. away. Is there a mod that I can do to speed up the speed of the panning rate like with a different size gear or such?

This question has been asked many times before!
If you do an advanced search you'll find all the posts! key words: "Ninja speed";)
although no one has stated they were successful in modifying a ninja it doesn't mean it isn't possible!
here is one post where replacing the discs were discused

Just thinking out-loud here..... could a ninja be mounted on a ninja.... which would double it's speed?
Or maybe mount the ninja on a rotating mount (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6958266).

Like the way you think. How do you think that will help.

Rotating a Ninja on a second Ninja would most likely overload the plastic gears we see stripping all the time. Camera Mounting Plate isn't made to hold the weight of a whole second Ninja Base. The rotating mount looks nice though.

The motors in the Ninja are Realby 24BYJ48 which are steppers. Increasing the voltage isn't going to help. The speed is governed by the uC which has only 2 ways to increase the speed that I know of. One is to re-write the software and the other is to increase the clock speed.
