Almost at the end of my rope, I'm posting here in the hope that some kind soul will take mercy, respond and help me solve my frustrating issue.
I'm funning Win XP with SP2 and all the MS updates through last night. I'r also running AHP ver. 3.204. (AHP and the CM15A were purchased new from X10 last week.
My problem is that whenever I 'touch' a dimmer switch on the AHP interface (by clicking it with the mouse), AHP locks-hp and I have to hard-restart the program. If I unplug the CM15A from the USB port, this doesn't happen - only when it's plugged in . . .
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening - or even better - how I can correct it? Tech support - are they alive and well?

Mr Bob,
Sounds like we are running very similar installations (AHP 3.204 and XP/SP2). I have encountered "lock-ups" before, but only when I've been doing some rather mean, nasty things to the interface (stress testing an such).
Unfortunately, we'll need more information about your installed devices and AHP configuration before we can make an educated guess about what is happening in your case.
- Number and type of devices installed
- Do other switches function correctly
- Repeaters or phase couplers installed
- Macros in use
- A post from your activity monitor when the interface/AHP locks up (view by accessing the menu item /tools/Activity Monitor - or press "F2").
If you could also try a test file with only the offending switch loaded, it would help isolate the problem.
- Create a new house file : /File/New name of your choice.
- Create the offending switch in New Room 1 and assign it's address
- Save the AHP file : /File/Save - Test1 10-28-07
- Try activating your switch manually - let us know the results
Sorry for the long list of questions. I'm trying not to send you on a wild goose chase by guessing at solutions.

Mr. Bob,
Did you have any luck with your issue? I'm asking because I too am brand new with X10 and am having the exact same issue. I am simply running 1 lamp module LM465 off of ActivePro Home / CM15A. Just like you, the moment I lower the dimmer, the whole application freezes up and I'm forced to close it down. Could it be that I'm running Microsoft Vista? Is that OS supported?
