I have active home pro, and via the usb pc interface, controlling a light switch say D2 fails (nothing happens to the light), but when I use a hand held remote to turn on or off D2, the light responds perfectly. What could be wrong ?? The computer can control other lights and devices ie turning a camera on or off.

The "say D2 fails" in the above text was an example. There are no error messages provided anywhere. Let me expand a little bit further on the problem - I have a number of light switches and applicance switcheds throughout the house, for example, the code D2 controls 4 light control devices (lm465), and B3 controls 2 applicance devices (am466), and D3 controls 3 wall light switch devices (ws467). In my case, when I use the computer interface (active home pro with usb) to turn on or off D2, nothing happens - from the log I see the command is detected, but the lights do not change. However, if I use on of the remote controls (palm pad, 8-in-1 controller etc) to turn on/off the D2 code, it works just fine. Oddly, although the computer doesnt seem to control D2, it does control D3 !!

I have never seen anything that said something like "D2 fails" when manually controlling a module in ActiveHome Pro's UI... can you explain where you are seeing this?
Do you have other Transceivers in your home?

Puck: I think he means "for example" where he uses the word "say".
In any case wellsa, more information will help. e.g. This could be any number of signal related problems that more information will make easier to solve.

I edited the original posting to provide more details. I do have 2 transceivers, both on the same house code, to provide better coverage - one on each floor of my house. I will unplug one tonight to see if it makes a difference, but it does seem that when controlling the devices with a remote control they work well, but when using the computer, only some devices work & not all of them as previously described.

Having a house code transceived by more than 1 device is never a good solution; even when it seems to work, it will eventually cause problems.
It sounds like you have a signal integrity issue. The signal coming from your CM15A is not reaching all of your modules.
You have one or more of the following to deal with:
1) Phase Coupling
2) Noise Generator
3) Signal Sucker
If you do an advanced search on the forum for those key words you will find lots of help with troubleshooting these issues.

i had the same problem with my upstairs bed room light so i made a false switch then i made a micro that when the false switch was turned on to send a rf signel to the address of my bed room light now i can turn them on at the computer by using the false switches i made
