Title: All lights on/off doesnt work on IR543
Post by: golden3159 on October 29, 2007, 05:46:06 PM: Hi, this X10 system I have works great except for one problem. I can individually turn things on/off and it works great! However, the "All lights on/off" switches don't work at all. I am using the X10 Powerhouse IR543 Command Module. Please advise on what I can do. Thanks!

The modules in question are they lamp or appliance types?
Recent purchase? X10 recently changed the lamp modules and wall switches and that data may help us in your problem.

Appliance modules don't support the All_Lights_On command - that's only for Lamp modules. The All_Units_Off should work however, at least it works for my IR543.

That's true even if one has a lamp plugged into the appliance module. I guess that distinction might not be apparent to beginners.
