Title: Lamp with 60 watts bulb
Post by: tolum on November 13, 2007, 03:15:56 PM
I have a single lamp with incand. 60 watts bulb screwed in it. The wall receptacle where lamp is plugs in is controlled by a WS12A. Turning on/off & dim by the ws12 runs OK, but when I try to turn it On/Off or dim with AHP on my laptop, sometimes, I can turn on the lamp, but turning it off is impossible. Same for the dim process. Same happen with a palmpad remote and a macro.

Do you think that problem happen because bulb wattage is not enough?

Thanks for your help.

60 watts should be fine. Sounds more like a poor signal to that switches wiring. Have you had a chance to look at some of the troubleshooting mesages and tutorials we have?

I agree. It should work.

On the side of caution, you should be careful controlling an outlet with a switch that can dim. There's been at least one discussion on the subject here. It may also violate building codes.
