Title: Home lighting has a mind of it's own

I have most of my lights in my home automated with X10 wall switches, timer , lamp modules, and or appliance modules.  At first all was well but the last 2 months I am having nothing but problems, lights won't turn on, no response with the remote, lights shut off or turn on by themselves, it's driving me crazy. >:(  I am going to return everything to conventional switches because I am at a loss and refuse to spend any more time battling this problem.  I know of other people who have experienced the same issues, I also know an electrician who has a box of this stuff he has taken from jobs where people are just as frustrated.

Since it worked well in the beginning, you probably changed something in your electrical environment two months ago to cause the problem.  X10 can be virtually 100% reliable, but it can take some work.  I wrote several tutorials that may help:
