Welcome aboard! ;) :D ;D
First off let me say if you have installed Vanguard you can't use it when AHP is running and if you have all of AHP plug-ins installed you won't need it! ;)
Now to answer your question!
The Yellow RCA plug on the VA11A plugs into a RF video receiver VR36A (no sound) or VR42A(sound and video)
to any video source (wired Cam)you want displayed on the PC!
since you don't plan on having your Laptop near your TV there are to options you can do!
- 1: Run a Y splitter from the VR42A one end into the TV and run and extention from the other to the room you plan to run your control center from
- 2: Purchase a VR36A and place it in your control centers location(keep the VR42A at the TV)

Note: The VA11A wil not handle sound from the cams so if you want that on your Control center you'll need the VR42A there and run a wire from the sound output into your soundcards input!
Happy Automating
Cheers!

Hi Tuicemen
Thanks for the response. First, Vanguard came with one of the deals so it's like an extra.
I plan to use wireless cameras possibly FloodCams what do you you think of them ?
I Already have the VR42A, I can use that at the PC {no sound} for testing purposes and later buy the VR36A.
Thank you again for the answer, I will try that and continue on with my set Up.

A lot of users have problems with the flood cams!
I don't use one so I can't comment on them!
If you do an Advanced Search (http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?action=search;advanced) on "Flood Cams" you'll find problems associated with them and possibly work arounds!
I use pan & tilts (Ninjas) to which I've mounted different cams even non X10 ones! I even have cheep night vision cams now available at Home Depo or Walmart!
I'd recommend you get at least one "Ninja" as it will expand your cams viewing area! ;)
If you want the best possible picture go with wired cams wireless cams can be tricky to set up as other wireles devices may interfere with them!
That's not to say I don't run some wireless, but others have issues with them! :(
