I just installed a WS4777 & remote, followed the instructions, and I had one red/white/black at each end, so it seemed easy. The main unit works, X10 works, but the remote will only turn the light OFF, not ON. Using an incandescent 60w bulb.
Can anyone offer a suggestion for me to try? I would rather know what I am doing before I start randomly changing wires!
EDIT:
Just wanted to pass on that after I traced all of the wires, I realized that when the instructions said "COMMON - Live or Light" they mean Hot or Light. The work COMMON threw me off, normally "common" means the white wire.
Also it would be nice if they mentioned that the colors LOOK like they're hooked up wrong -- you end up connecting the neutral (white) wire to the black wire on the switch.
But all is well now.
