Title: Which wall switch to use with inline dimming module XPDF?
Post by: sm88 on February 19, 2008, 10:49:17 AM
I am installing an incandescent light with the XPDF inline dimming module. This light has no existing switch.
I am trying to find a wall switch that I can connect to the house wiring and use it to turn light on/off and dim through the XPDF module.
Is the XPD3-IW the correct switch?  Will it communicate the on/off AND dimming signals to the XPDF module?
Thanks for any help.

No. The XPD3 is a receiver only. Look at X10 Pro, XPT series for a transmit only wall switch.

Any reason you don't want to use a stick-on switch or remote?

I personally don't like the stick-ons, but I'm just curious.
