I recently purchased a Filterline Noise Filter to resolve an issue with my HDTV interfering with my X10 devices. When the TV is powered on, the x10 controller does not control my x10 devices. It would appear that the problem is not coming from the power outlet or something is leaking through the filter. Could my IR543 getting RF interference from my SONY TV? Everything works fine if the TV is powered off. Any suggestions, as I have reviewed most of the troubleshooting information I can get my hands on.

Is the filter designed for X10 signals? Some actually think an X10 signal is noise and suck it up.
Could be the TV is the problem. By chance is the IR detector for the IR543 being shined on by it?

You are on to something, as I moved the IR543 under my Blu-Ray player and it works fine. It appears I may have had a couple of problems. Without the filter installed and no matter where I placed the IR543, it will not work when the set is on. So the filter fixed one problem, but my placement of the IR device apparently was getting some input from the TV, which masked the problem. Weird stuff... BTW, the FilterLinc Plug-In Noise Filter is specifically designed to address noise and signal attenuation of x10 device signals, for more information see http://www.smarthomepro.com/1626-10.html.
Thanks you made my evening, as I was starting to get very frustrated...Now I can sit back have a beer and enjoy my new toys... 8-)

I should have known the FilterLinc was for X10 as it 'Linc' is part of most devices made for that purpose by Smarthome.
Glad you are making progress.
