OK guys I know it's old but it's run forever and it's free. I'm looking for DOS commandline Firecracker utilities. Has anyone seen any such thing?
-
You are out of luck. A search of both X10 and Google resulted in only 2003 for any software for the Firecracker. Sorry.
DOS software was going away when Windows 95 was introduced 13 years ago.

I don't have a firecracker but I do run AH (Not Pro) on xp and can open a DOS window, then send modules commands from the command line and put them in batch files too. I found the dos commands on the 'net. I do remember that it calls x10net.exe or somethingl.
What do you want to do?

You may want to look here. I am not sure if anything is what you want.

Also not sure if the X10 FTP site may have it.

I checked the links you provided, I didn't see what the OP wants. He's looking for DOS commandline Firecracker utilities, which are so old probably nobody has the them, shareware or freeware.
DOS isn't dead yet, but it's on life support. Betcha the next version of Windows (Windows 7?) doesn't even have a Command Prompt.

Dan; So true. Though at work I still have a few programs that don't run in 98SE even if the command mode. :'

I have a dos command line program took me a while to find it so I could extract the download info!
program is written in C source code and posted to the web by Adam Briggs.
I found a version of it here (http://www.seanet.com/~karllunt/x10dos.htm)
If that version don't work I've e-mailed the version I have to your e-mail address on file with the forum!

How old are those programs? I've got a pair of DOS games put out by Sierra in the early 90's that still run under XP, complete with a pair of shortcuts that were established under Windows 95 and still work today. The only difference under XP is the shortcuts are set to block the screen saver, but it still runs (and minimizes the command prompt full screen windows, so I have to click on the program in the taskbar to reopen the game.)

if anybody is interested i found this gem: windows xp command line for the firecracker. works like a charm. i use it on my second machine with voice activation using an old copy of homeseer.
i send commands also to my ahp machine, that keeps all the macros stored on it. and have gotten both of them to work together pretty good. also using autohotkey to make scripts for vuplayer which doesn't hog a lot of memory.
vuplayer also uses hotkeys, so you can make scripts of those as well, and use voice activation to have a voice activated media player, volume up, down, mute, next song, previous song, play, stop, again this works great. link below

Voice Activation via homeseer?
I would like to know more about that.
Does homeseer support voice activation by default?
Thanks.

the only homeseer i have is version 1.7 and yes, voice activation came with it. I am not sure about later versions, but I'm sure they probably didn't delete it in newer versions. but I'm sure they probably didn't get rid of it. >!
