Hello, I have a delima and please help. I purchased 2 sentinel Pan Tilt Camera to cover a 300ft * 150ft area. The problem that i am having is that i was told that the Motion sensor covers only 20ft area and gives a maximum signal of 100 ft to the active home interface. The delima is that i have a concrete building and the building is about 220 Ft from the far end of the lot. what can i do to either extend or make the active motion reach my active home interface which is about 220 ft ??? Please Help. Thanks

Well... the options are limitless... But here is one I can offer up off the top of my head.
You can use several transceivers (TM751) and motion sensors. You can even use different House/Unit codes. The cameras have several presets... and with the CM15A you could have the cameras turn, focus, and record video at several points/places.

Thanks dave, however i understand that i have to put alot of motions which is fine but my problem is that the motion will be around 180ft away from the concrete building and the active home not picking it up

That is a very long distance for the micropower output of the motion detectors. The CM15A is known for its low sensitivity. My RR501 seems to go out almost 100 ft. Beyond that I think your only options are to use either use an intermediate transceiver if 120V is available out there, or the WGL V572 transceiver, which has much better sensitivity than the X10 products. I haven't tested it that far myself, but it certainly covers the house and grounds here just fine.

Just remember the pan and tilt is also done with RF. So the RF also has to get back to the cameras position.
Most motion sensors also have a Dusk dawn feature. So when picking your addresses the motion address +1 unit code is most likely going to trigger at dusk and dawn.
