Title: PalmPad Remote Control Problem

I have a PalmPad Remote Control, a Lamp Module, and the Mini Transceiver. The Lamp Module is set to #1 and the PalmPad Remote Control turns the lamp on and off as it should with the #1 button. But I can't dim the light unless I switch the slide control from 1-8 to 9-16. This isn't making sense to me. The lamp is on #1, the dimming should occur when the slide switch is at 1-8, not 9-16  Is my Remote control faulty?

Given the information, it sure sounds like it. Switch your lamp module to UC # 9, what happens then?

The dimmer control works from number 5-16 but not from 1-4. I'll use it as it is instead of having to pay shipping to send it back. Kind of disappointing though.  :(

Really strange failure. If it is brand new, you might call X10 and and ask for a prepaid shipping label to send it back.
