Title: control of different rooms - simple question!!
Post by: aftermarket on January 28, 2009, 05:31:45 PM
hi,

i'm  new to  all this and i'm a little stuck!! basically i have my cinema room set up on house code c. i then want to set my games room up on house code G. i have one rf  reciever that is on C at the moment. Does this mean i have to buy recievers for every room i want to control with a different house or is there another way round it?

thanks

No you can spring for a CM15A and AHP. The CM15A will tranceive all 16 house codes. However take the time to read some of the posts here,  on AHP and the CM15A. The CM15A does not have as good of range as the TM751 or RR501 single house code tranceivers. Also there is the third party all house code tranceiver (WGLs V572) which does have excellent range, but does not offer the home automation capabilities of AHP.

thanks for the quick reply. Do i need to set anything in ahp to make it trancieve all 16 house codes or will it just do it automatically?

No it needs to be set. I believe AHP defaults to "Auto" meaning it SHOULD tranceive any house code, however mine does not (minor AHP bug since 2004). I manually checkbox each house code I want to tranceive.  Go to "Tools/Hardware configuration" from AHP menu bar.
