Post by: mritorto on February 03, 2009, 12:18:49 PM
guys,

got another newbie question.

If I plug a wirless sensor into a surge protector and then a lamp into the surge protector can I control the lamp or anything else plugged into the same surge protector?

Marc,

What are you calling a "wireless sensor"?

If you mean a TM751 or RR501 Tranceiver, you would need the lamp plugged into; either the tranceiver (ON-OFF control only),  or in to a Lamp Module if you want dimming control. You also need a "remote" i.e. Palm Pad, Keychain remote, etc. to send the radio signal to the tranceiver. Some surge protectors absorb X10 siganls but if your light is plugged into the tranceiver or in a lamp module also plugged in to the same strip as the traceiver the "absorbing" probably will not be a factor.

Clear as mud?
