Hello,
I am a newbie here and just signed up to become an Affiliate. I would have preferred to be a dealer
as I am a dealer at http://www.SelfDefenseProductsFlorida.com (http://www.SelfDefenseProductsFlorida.com)
I read in a forum here that to sell retail for X10, you need to have a dealer/wholesale account with X10.
I cannot find a link to sign up as a dealer/wholesaler. It was an old post, maybe there are
no 'dealer/wholesaler' accounts anymore????
Affiliates make 40%? That is very good! As a dealer in self defense and security products, profits
are usually 20-30%..
My second thought/question is - do any of the affiliates make any money as it seems customers can
buy directly from x10.com and get it cheaper.???? Is my thinking way off????
So, If anyone can help clarify the above, I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks!
Cindy

Hi Self Defense Products Fl. and welcome,
>!
It seems getting an answer on a topic of this nature should be done directly to X10.
As a business owner myself, I don't look for answers in a forum for users having problems and sharing experiences directed to the using of X10 products.
Sharing info about your business or maybe looking for unique products is OK I guess, Not to tell all of us how much your mark up is and how you can make more profit doing it another way.
None of us here, it seems can help with your bottom line. We are only buyers here, a few sellers maybe, but always always looking for the Best Deal. :)%
Call X10 directly and get them to show you your best options.

The following URLs should help:
http://www.x10contractor.com (http://www.x10contractor.com)
http://www.x10affiliate.com (http://www.x10affiliate.com)
From what I can determine, the Affiliate Program is just a pass-through sale to X10 where you earn commissions if your site redirects a prospective buyer to X10.com.
The Contractor Program allows you to make volume purchases at a discount which you can then resell/install for profit.
I haven't seen anything that specifically references a "Dealer". I suspect this would refer to a Contractor.
Hope this helps...
