Title: So my wife LOVED her x10ed lamps in the master bedroom,
Post by: bitman on March 15, 2009, 11:20:37 PM
So my wife LOVED her x10ed lamps in the master bedroom.
But oh how fickle. She bought two sconce lights that hang on the wall so as to clear end table space?
I asked her to please use a tape measure and a level and not eye ball it this time.  ;D

I walked into the bedroom and she had one up and said "You're going to be mad at me and maybe I'm mad at myself" What's the problem said I.

She informed me that these were touch lamps.  ::) And they don't work with the x10 thingys.
I said but, I thought you loved the x10 control in here. "Well I don't know I might like them"  ::) ::)

BS. I dug into them and found the little touch module. Ripped it out and hardwired them.

Whew! that was a close one.

I even got a "Thank you" as I left the room to go back to what I was doing.

 ;D

Maybe wire them to the hinge of a cabinet door... so when digging into the cabinet you could touch the hinge to active a light?
