I am just fed up with issues and decided to remove Vanguard software for good, however I keep getting this Wise Uninstall Alert saying could not open INSTALL.LOG file...
Any ideas please?, I tried reinstalling the software looking for the custom option and nothing so far.

someone please?

What Operating System are you using?
There maybe some third party freeware that can do what normal uninstall methods can do.
I am sure someone will have had the same problem and chime in with a solution.

XP Pro
still unable to get rid of this software.
Thank you, J.

Have you tried going into the Control Panel and select the Add or Remove icon, then find Vanguard and see what happens?
Let us know.

As Dan pointed out. Add Remove through XP would be the safest way to try first.
There are third party removers that are quite poweful, but can overdue it; and get you in trouble.
Many say Revo Uninstaller is good. I have used it a few times but there are things it asks you to verify to leave or remove :-\.

Then do what Brian H suggested in his post right above your reply.

Maybe something from Vanguard starts on boot up and prevents the uninstall.
You may want to try booting into Safe Mode and then Add Remove.
MSCONFIG maybe able to turn off the Service for Vanguard.

If you haven't fixed this yet it's simple. Browse for the INSTALL.LOG file and copy it where it says it should be. Usually the install folder for the app. This software does a crappy job of installing itself. I had this problem on my first install of it but had seen this before. Since they install their stuff over the internet a lot of the files are just run from the temp folder. You clean your computer and they are gone. Someone here who has it installed could possibly send you a copy of their file for you to use also if you kept it to the default install path.
