Title: new to X10 and I need to know how to setup for Filter

I just ordered X10 Home package and it was ship same day.
my townhouse is 7 years old
What kind of filters do I need for X10.
i was thinking of getting X10 X-10 PRO XPNR Noise Reducer

How would I use filter on AC/ Heater, washer, dryer?
I'm newbie on X10 stuff

You might not need filters.

If you intend on remote controlling "a bunch 'o stuff" in your house, you might invest in a good repeater (XTB IIR or ACT 234) before spending money on filters which may not be needed. As side note: appliances with switching power supplies are big noise generators (computers, "power bricks" for note book computers and other assorted appliances, microwave ovens, TVs, cell phone chargers, CFL bulbs, etc). However most switching power supplies, although noisy, do not interfere with the X10 signals on your homes wiring.

One thing to remember: unless you only got a couple of Lamp Modules and a Maxi Contoller, don't expect your system to be "Plug-N-Play", but its fun once you get it working.

I would also say. See if you need filters after looking at Jeff's good set of tutorials.
Jeff may have more data on the XPNR but I believe it is not the best choice all the time for X10 noise reduction.

The XPNR is basically a 120KHz tank circuit.  It can attenuate wide band noise produced by things like universal motors with arcing brushes.  It does not help in the typical problem where a noise source is running near the X10 carrier frequency.
