Maybe your corporate identity counsel should call IBM's counsel(?). I think they got some "splainin" to do.

Interesting!
What are the odds that someone there will notice a post on the forum?
It's also kinda surprising that IBM would of picked the name even if X10 didn't have any copyrights on the name.

Interesting. To say the least.

2. 100% agree and at least some entity of IBM knows X10 very well since X10 made and rebranded CM11A and modules for IBM. X10 may not have copyrighted "X10" but they patented the coding. Since the IBM "X10" also deals with "coding" I would have thought IBM would have avoided the name because of confusion.

Maybe during this economic climate. All the older IBM employees; that even knew; that their automation devices where from X10. Are all on early retirement.

Yeah, kinda reminds me of a company you and I are very familiar with. :'
Yup you might be right about being out to pasture. But it doesn't speak well of any "name search" IBM marketing department should have done. Heck all they would have had to do was Google "X10".
