Hi guys,
Saw this new product with European company Marmitek:

It's a pseudo touch screen, so no LCD computer, just a touch sensitive glass with any picture you want, behind it.
Does anyone know whether it is available in the US ?
Anyone with more information on it ?

In short NO!!! Marmatek and X10USA are totally different companies. Maramtek covers Europe and X10USA covers the US and Canada.

So sad... I would so like to have a touchscreen by the door to control lights and arm and disarm the alarm. And another centrally located in the hall.

Mmmm to bad B:(
I'd looked at some details, as far as I can see the only problem is that it's not 310MHz.
Maybe they will make a US version if there's enough interest...
Let's wait and see.
There are 2 interested customers already ;)

I'm not to hopeful that X10 will make one... Cause this has been out for awhile over seas with nonone yet to make it here.
Its a great Idea but I think the price is keeping most away there and would do the same here.. £179.00 = $263.83

X10 makes a fine IR RF remote called the Icon that has a pretty little LCD screen (but with buttons.. not touchscreen). It has a selection of images built-in for both TV stations and X10 (that's where the RF comes in) devices. And they nearly give away that remote at $50.
I can't see why X10 can't take the RF remote idea, dump the IR part, and build it as a 4 1/2 touchscreen.
Who wouldn't want one by their easychair (I love my Icon even though I rarely use a remote because I Voice Command (http://www.davesdomainonline.com/bvc/bvc.htm)), nightstand, or hanging by the thermostat, or entry door.

I second the motion.

Wonder if this could be tweaked to do X10?
A LCD touch screen in a wall switch box. ;D
Maybe battery operated details still vague.

If this link is the same thing: http://boutique.domobec.com/ (it also has a youtube video) it can be pre-ordered at $150. But... and it's hard to tell from a promotional video... It looks like it works via the HA PC (BT) just like an itouch or iphone. I've read good things about the iphone/itouch app for HA... and would love to replace my current phone with the iphone. I understand AT&T may not be able to keep it to themselves much longer... the future is a very bright place.

Yes same one. There is a whole thread on Coccoontech on the unit. Feedback from the manufacturer also in the thread.
