With ActiveHome, I had created a timer that turned on a series of lights at dusk. I enabled the Security option and a 15 minute 'before' offset to avoid having the lights come up when it was already quite dark. This setup is not working properly on AHP, at least during Daylight Savings.
My CM15A is always connected to my PC, although AHP is normally not running. I recreated the timer from scratch. Dusk is currently at 18:30. With the 15 minute 'before' offset, the lights came on at 18:15. I temporarily disabled the offset, turned on the Security feature and re-enabled the offset. The lights came on at 19:14, well outside the +/- 30 minutes.
There appears to be all sorts of issues with dusk/dawn timers and the Security setting, but so far I have not come across a good match to my problem. I have seen recommendations that the Security setting must be enabled before any other options are set. The last time I tried to diagnose this problem, believe I did exactly that, to no avail. I have also seen recommendations about having the dusk timer turn on a phantom module.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

3.236 is known as a buggy release of AHP. Go to http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ and look for ahp_updt_204.exe. Save that and install it. It will not destroy any timers or macros you have. When it is installed over 3.236, open AHP and use the update link in AHP to update to 3.228, the last good version of AHP.

Dan, sorry for the slow response - out of the country for a while. Backlevelling AHP solved the problem.
Thanks, Norbert

Thanks. Why X10USA continues to send 3.236 out to new purchasers of AHP and the CM15A remains a mystery, even though some of the suits at X10 USA do lurk here.
I've had X10 since the mid 1980's, started with the old CP290 and the DOS software.

Dan, you must get tired of pointing out the failings of 3.236. Too bad there isn't an "auto-response" feature here on the forum for you to use. Take care.

I tried 3.236 last December, and discovered that timers weren't operating properly when certain lights, both inside the house and lighted Christmas decorations outside would not turn or or off as scheduled. When the outside lights were on at 4:30 AM, I knew it was an AHP problem, so off to the site and grab 3.204. Installed that over 3.236 and updated to 2.228. BINGO!!! No problems with any timers. There are many other users who either tried it or got it in a new order and came here for help. When they did what I posted, their systems worked perfectly.
X10 is to make your life easier, not screw it up.

Dan; Is there a trick to getting 3.228 to load over 3.204?
I used the 3.204 over 3.236 and it went fine. Gave me an update available when run. I clicked on get update. AHP shut down as the information box said. Then nothing. No messages or any indication it was happening. Could it be one of the Plugins I have needed 3.236?
Too bad X10 doesn't have a 3.228 upgrade file in the software area.

Did you click on the Update link in AHP? 3.228 is not in the X10 Software Repository, it's only available by an upgrade from 3.204. What plug-ins do you have?
