Hi!
I just finished a second microprocessor based X10 controller. (The "X10 Book" was the first.)
This one was made to be more user friendly as far as setting up timers and macros, etc.
Please see my blog - http://brohogan.blogspot.com/ (http://brohogan.blogspot.com/) - for all the details.
(There are other X10 projects there as well.)

Wohoo!!
"Bro" you take X10 DIY to new levels!
All your projects are great!
It seems like someone is always looking for remote transmission of temperature, so your site gets bookmarked! Looks like a great way to allow automation software control home HVAC without spending $300 for the RCS unit.
Thanks for sharing!

Gentlemen, thank you all for those nice comments.
This project has been the most useful thing I've ever made in electronics.
I hope that others will try something like it - and I am happy to help.
And I'm still working on it! I've gotten all the marcros programmable via text file. So far there are 6 "types". One is a "temperature macro". I'm also working on a phone interface. Not exactly FCC section 68 compliant yet (looking into DAA modules that are) but I have it dialing my cell, leaving a message (beeps) and listening for keys. I'll be posting more about these on the blog.
Thanks again
How'd you know about the solder sniffing?
