Title: X10 newbie lm15U
Post by: dexterich on January 06, 2010, 03:25:46 PM
Hi all, I am an x10 newbie just got a TM13U, MS13E wireless sensor and LM15U socket rocket (to get me going plan to do a lot more).  TM13U and wireless sensor working fine but having trouble with the socket rocket.  When I plug it into a lamp socket and turn on the power the bulb comes straight on, from the instructions I found in FAQ (instructions that came with it not very helpful at all!), it should be off until it gets a signal from the TM13U or I program it?  I have followed the programming instructions on the forum help pages exactly (even though the lamp was lit I tried to program it by sending the on command 3 times, etc) but no joy, it just stays on.
Am I missing something?
It has a 60w incendescant bulb fitted (although it is also good for low energy bulbs).

Grateful for any help. Rich.

It is not a good sign for the Socket Rocket to instantly turn ON when power is applied. Call X10, you have a bad unit.   :-[

Yes a Socket Rocket [does not matter where in the world it is] going on when power is applied sounds bad.
I would also say call X10 and get a replacement.
