I recently purchased a floodcam. Like many others in the forum, I am having a problem with the lights turning on during the day, but not turning back off. I have tried adjusting the light control to the lightest and darkest settings with no luck. I have tried attaching "flaps" on the sides of the floodcam's hood to shield it from any stray light, but that did not work either. I have a few questions:
Has anyone been able to come up with a viable solution so that the lights do not get "stuck on" during the day? I am thinking about writing a macro to turn them off about 5 minutes after they turn on. It is not a perfect solution, but the best I have found.
Also, even when I set the light control to the lightest setting (all the way counter-clockwise), the lights will not always come on during the day. Is this what others have experienced? I have even covered up the sensor with electrical tape, and oddly enough the lights still won't always turn on during the day. I would hate to have to take the floodcam down and return it just to find that its replacement has the same or just different issues. Has anyone installed a floodcam and had perfect execution?
One other question, is the motion sensor set off by motion and/or heat?
Thanks,
Rich

I had the same issue with the lights not turning off during the day. After researching a lot about this issue, I decided to replace the bulbs with incandescent 65W. Guess what:IT IS WORKING PERFECTLYYYYYY :)% :)%

sazzam,
What wattage did you have in the fixture before putting in the 65 watt? I run 90 watt bulbs in mine and occasionally have this issue.
