I just got a new CM15A interface and run AHP software 3.236 under Windows XP. Everything seems to work fine except that the CM15 does not act to commands from RF remotes. If I run the Intro Wizard of AHP everything checks out OK except that I do not see any responses under 'RF Control Reception' when I press buttons on a HR12A remote (with 3 feet distance between CM15A and HR12A). However, when I plug my TM751 transceiver module into an outlet that same HR12A remote works fine. It appears to me that the RF receiver in my CM15A is defective. Any suggestions?
Many thanks for helping,
Roland

Try looking in the Hardware Tab.
Transceived House Codes.
Make sure the House Code you are using is enabled.
Default of Auto sometimes doesn't work correctly.

Thanks Brian for your answer.
Make sure the House Code you are using is enabled.
I checked this and I also tried with all transceived House Codes explicitly enabled. It does not work. I also have to correct my previous statement that everything else works OK. It does not. It only works when operated out of AHP. If I download timers to the CM15A interface they do not work. It looks like the CM15A does not keep time. I have been using a CM11A interface for years without any problems. But the CM11A's memory size is very limited. That's why I decided to buy the CM15A. The whole experience is very frustrating and time consuming.
Best Regards,

Firstly, 3.236 is a known buggy release. To get a better version is a two step process. First, go to http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ and look for ahp_updt_204.exe. Save that and install it over what you have now. Once 3.204 is installed, open AHP and use the update link in it to upgrade to 3.228, the last good release.
Secondly, replace the TM751 with a RR501 transceiver which is a better unit. X10 only sells it in a package, but Automated Outlet http://www.automatedoutlet.com/ sells it by itself and their shipping is flat rate regardless of number of items ordered.

Thanks Dan. OK, I will try 3.204 with an upgrade to 3.228.
Why would I need either TM751 or RR501 (I actually do have both) when the CM15 is supposed to work as a transceiver?

The CM15A is not noted for great RF reception and that is why there are a few antenna modification posts here.
