I am having a problem with my AHP. I can control a set of modules using any manual controller, including manually controlling from the AHP interface, but when I set up a timer on just one channel (Channel 1), it isn't controlled by the timer. If I turn on the modules via a controller, they work. If I try to control it manually from AHP, they work. If I try and use the timer function to have them (Channel 1 only), it doesn't work. I am using other timers in AHP and they all work, just not the timer for channel 1.
Any ideas?

What kind of timer? is it a timer module or a timer in AHP?
Are you using a TM751 or plug in module? TheTM751 aonly responds to an RF signal for channel 1. If you send a PLC command when using one of these for channel 1, they will not turn on/off. If that is the case you can set a macro to trigger on a different H/U code that can send the RF signal to trigger it.

johnmal: Try this to get your lights to come on via a timer Timer turns off but not on (http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=19505.0)
I feel like this is a recording... This fixes most issues like this and it doesn't make since why X10 felt the opposite should be the default.
What is "channel 1"?

Channel 1 is the first of 16 channels that are available per house code. I have my house code set to "A"
I guess that you could also call it "Unit 1" since they mean the same thing.
Thanks

The timer that I am using is the one built into the AHP that is downloaded to the CM15A controller module.
The modules that I am using are the 3-way wall style, 500 watts.

You are the first I recall seeing referencing an X10 address as a channel, so I was not absolutely sure you were using X10 devices. In electronics, a channel is a path and usually defines a frequency; X10 house & unit codes are addresses, and all addresses are sent/received on the same channel (either PLC @ 120kHz or RF @ 310Mhz).
The modules that I am using are the 3-way wall style, 500 watts.
It is best to give the module part number. Because of some recent changes to modules from X10 some suggestions will work and others will not for the same device.
Did you check the link I sent in my 1st reply?

GO to your timer designer for the timer you are trying to set up and make sure that the check boxes are checked for the condition you are trying to time.

Also, you should see the timers set for the device under "Presets for {module name}". If not, the timer has not actually been created and thus cannot get downloaded to the CM15A. Make sure the timer you created also has a check by it telling AHP that it is an active timer.

For some modules you may even have multiple timers set which you can selectively disable by unchecking the box next to it as in the 3rd one in the example below.

Hope that helps

What I'm trying is changing the type of the module from the W4777 to the Fluorescent Lamp module.
So far it seems to work. I know that I won't be able to dim the lights via AHP, but thats OK.
The version of the software is 3.236, and from what I've been reading is that is a buggy version. Where can I get the latest "non-buggy" version?
Thanks

I don't know if I am a special case or what, but I hear a lot of people in the forums saying how buggy ver 3.236 is. I don't want to say that there aren't flaws in it because there are. Like when I go to the MyHouse user configuration window the global actions and camera actions boxes in there are messed up beyond belief with random check boxes over text. But as far as things with modules, macros and timers working, I have had very few issues. The times that I have had erratic behavior from a module or switch have been fixed by either finding my dumb mistakes or things like clearing out the recycle bin. I have seen a few other little quirks in the software, but they seem minor (to me anyways).
The module you mention (W4777) is one I have never heard of and can't find with a google search. The dimmer switch that I am using is an XPD13 and I am also using XPS3s (non-dimming) as 3ways with an XPSS. I don't have problems with either of them dimming (XPD13) or turning on or off (XPS3) through AHP. I have some of them on timers which work well. The times that I have had issues with timers have been dumb mistakes on my part when setting up the timer such as missing a checkbox as mentioned above, a weekday weekend or daily setting, or an AM/PM issue. I have the issues worked out with them though and they work.
I'm sure I am going to get responses on this issue, but these have been my experiences with version 3.236.

Easy. Go to http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ and look for ahp_updt_204.exe. Save that and install it over what you have now, it will not affect any timers or macros you may have. Once 3.204 is installed, use the update link under Tools to update AHP to version 3.228.
