Does anybody know how to open up the case of the DS700, and disable the alarm. From what I can tell there are two screws, one near the 9V battery terminal, and the other is covered up by the sticker. I am needing to disable it due to the fact that I live in a condo and can't have the loud noise going off. What I am looking for the system to do is just call my cell, and then I log in from a remote terminal to view the cameras and see whats going on. Thanks in Advance !

Open up the unit and clip the wires going to the piezo speaker.
Does that work??

Yea that would work. Is there any more hidden screws I am going to need to look for besides the two? I have yet to play around with it, so I didn't know what other ones are there.

I have never opened one up. I do have a knack for "visualizing" electronic components innards though.

There is another post concerning this mod.
A detailed search should turn it up and reveal answers to all your Questions.
Hint: look in the device mod section I believe there are several DS7000 mods
There should be a screw under each of the rubber feet.

I was curious to see if it had been done by someone already. Found one where a switch was used to pick on or off for the sounder.
