I want to set up a system with the following requirements.
1. 4 WIRELESS out door COLOR cameras - motion activated option and full time recording
2. receiving device for wireless cameras
3. recording device (or option to record to my computer)
4. ability to view over the internet
Please provide part numbers an or direct links to the products..
This is an "entry level" system - but want something that will last - not total cheapass stuff

Boomer, this is an X10 users forum, not the X10 marketing/sales department.
Since "cheapass stuff" tends to be subjective, and (depending on who you talk to) some would put X10 in that bucket, you might want to do the research and make the decisions yourself.

Synology DS110j NAS with f/w DSM2.3
1. 4 WIRELESS out door COLOR cameras - motion activated option and full time recording
Wireless IP Cameras (make sure they're on synology's supported hardware list) - motion activated recording is controlled by receiver software
2. receiving device for wireless cameras
This would be your wireless router
3. recording device (or option to record to my computer)
Synology DS110j NAS with f/w DSM2.3
4. ability to view over the internet
Synology's Disk Station Manager 2.3 Firmware with proper port forwarding on your router.
