I'm having some trouble with my X10 system.. I'm going to try re-arranging things later tonight but I thought I'd throw this out there to see if anyone has some useful info.. I've got, inside the house, an RR501, and two WS12A's, (address I1-I3) and outside, an SR227 (O1) and an appliance module (O2) to control landscape lighting. Since I installed the RR501, when I wake up in the morning, the lights connected to module I3 are turned on. It seems that when my PC turns off O1 and O2 in the morning, I3 turns on for some reason.. I can't figure out why. Does anyone have any tips?

Do you have any X10 RF Remotes or Motion Sensors?
If you do what House Code are they using?

Yeah, I have the palmpad on code I.. That's why the RR501 is there, so I have local control of that lamp from the palmpad. But this happens when the pad is not in use and everyone is asleep. There are no X10 motion sensors.

Well, it seems if I replace the RR501 with a standard appliance module, this problem goes away. I guess the transceiver is causing the trouble.

Either it is defective or something is sending an RF I3 On.

Well I don't think it's either of these. I've eliminated the RR501 as a source of this problem. The lights that are coming on when they're not supposed to are on the last unit addressed on housecode I before the housecode O units are sent an OFF signal. The last signal sent to the I unit is and extended OFF. I'll try a regular OFF and see if that makes a difference. Perhaps I've discovered a bug in the operation of the WS12A....

Could be you have found something.
I know I have found the Soft Start LM465s have at least two different firmware revisions. One I bought a few months ago acts differently than an earlier Soft Start version a few years older.
