I have a cm15a that has been working great for years. But now it is just staying on battery power. I have checked the wall outlet it is plugged into and it has power. The usb cable is working because I can communicate with it, as long as I have good batteries in it, and I can control modules with it.Is this a common occurance? Is there a way to solve this , or is it just time to buy another controller ?
Thanks.

I believe yours maybe the first to be reported with this problem.
Since it still can control modules with power line signals the 30 volt power supply is probably OK.
There are a few components that feed the 30 volts to the 5 volt regulator and an educated guess here, one of them has failed.
Causing it to try and run the unit on batteries even when connected to the AC power.
Sounds like a new one maybe needed.

1. No.
2. Since you have little to lose, try smacking it once on the table.
3. Probably.
As Brian pointed out, the failure is pretty wierd. How long do the batteries last...and does the battery status in AHP work?

The batteries last 48 hours, and the battery status in AHP works fine and keeps up with the count down until the battery's are gone.
Looks like I'll have to order another one.
Thanks for the replies.
