Title: Does a MS16a sensor reset the time with new detections?
Post by: BoyntonStu on August 08, 2010, 01:37:49 PM
Once triggered ON, when a MS detects a second motion, is there another ON signal and if so, is it ignored, or is the countdown timer reset?

Yes. and yes the timer in the MS is restarted. The OFF signal is sent one minute (or what ever is set) AFTER the last detected motion.

Don't know what you are asking when you say "if so is it ignored". Since the MS has not yet sent an OFF and the AM would still be on, I guess you could say the AM is ingoring the multiple ON commands from the MS.

Thanks,

IOW all detections delay the sending of an OFF.

The AM is getting all ONs but until it receives an OFF, nothing happens.

Have you noticed a difference in distance sensitivity between ON and OFF signals?
