I think my HD11a is dying...what are the signs?
Any places that sell them new for an affordable price?
-
I believe the IBM branded HD11A is the X10 CM11A.

That is correct.
I want a new CM11a, but I don't want to get robbed for it...I mean I would pay $35 for one but not much more...
-
Yes they are getting more difficult to find lately.
Even the RCA HC60RX versions are harder to find.
-
Not only hard to find, X10 hasn't sold a CM11A for at least 10 years, ever since X10 released AHP and the CM15A.
-
Really wish heyu would support current controllers >*<
-
AFAIK - they still haven't released the protocol for the CM15 have they?

That is correct.

I ended up being contacted by two generous members of this forum and got two CM11a's coming my way for a total of $35!! >!
Eventually though, the supply of these things will dry up and we will either have to move away from Heyu...or maybe Heyu will one day support another controller.
Too bad we don't have someone that can revive these things, I hate to just throw away my deceased CM11a!!

Somebody did post a CM11A schematic in a thread over on the Homeseer Forums.
Called CM11A.PDF.
Not sure if any enterprising electronic technicians would try testing them.

gahh! it was the cable!
Now I have 2 CM11a's, 1 HD11a, 2 good CM11a cables, and 1 BAD HD11a cable! B:(
I guess now that I have 3 working controllers, I should be able to stick with Heyu for a while :)%

Glad you found the problem.
It does sound like you are set with controllers for awhile.
