Title: WS12A MANUAL DESCREPANCY?
Post by: bigjohn9944 on October 02, 2010, 05:30:57 PM
The wiring diagram for the WS12A shows Blue to Live and Black to Lamp.

On the back of the switch it shows Line: Black  and Load: Blue

Both show Red as a traveler wire which isn't being used in this case.

Which is correct or does it matter??

I've always connected them as Black live, and Blue to the load (switched).

I would do it that way, and cap the red if not used.

By convention, nybuck has good advice, but the switch should work with either hook-up. My personal experience has been; if it does not work reliably one way, some times it will work the other.

The X10Pro PLW02 version of the WS12A. Also shows the Black to Line and Blue to Load.
