I'm changing configuration control of my V572RF32 from a laptop to a desktop. I cannot find the configuration data file, so when I plug in with the desktop, all settings are gone. Is there a way to download the data, or does anyone know where the file containing the configuration is located?

PJ can you change the configuration in some minor way and then search the program folder for a file with an immediate time stamp?

Thanks, but tried that - no joy.

I bet it’s in the registry. I opened my v572RF32.exe without the receiver connected and all the proper settings showed up. I searched the registry for ‘v572RF32’ and several interesting looking data fields showed up in a couple of places. I’m not sure what data was in which place.
Also, I have two users on this computer. When I ran v572RF32.exe in "the other user", all the data settings were default, not as I had set them. When I ran v572RF32.exe in "the correct user", all the data settings were correct.
I’m sure the v572RF32 people could tell you what registry entries to export and import. Seems there should be a “read and save” data file procedure.

Dave4720 is correct.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\v572rf32\groupA
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\v572rf32\groupB

Well ...
Thinking, then, this is the way to backup configuration data, I went to the user I used to set up the v572RF32, went to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\v572rf32 and exported the entire folder.
Then, I went to the other user (that had all default data) and imported my previous export.
Running v572RF32.exe, I saw the opening screen '16 bit regular X10 devices' now had the proper boxes either checked or unchecked, as my custom setup. However, clicking on 'Show First Group' resulted in: Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument.
Returning to regedit and deleting the entire HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\v572rf32 folder and re-running v572RF32.exe, my settings were back to default, and clicking on 'Show First Group' now worked again.
Something must still be up, as I could not have transferred settings from another computer.

email Warren at mfgr and ask as I did; perhaps he will make a software update to help us. Yesm he stores the data in THAT computer's registry so it is not available in another one. Like me, you will just have to decide which computer to use to program it and stick with it. If you want to change to your other computer, just go thru the hassle of reteaching it each device and you are good to go from then on.

Warren did send me an email - unfortunately, it's all in the registry. I'll have to reload.
Did find one more weird thing - a KR10A and a Security remote produce the SAME CODE when they register ....
