Title: Halp!!! With a simple setup
Post by: Upstater on December 29, 2010, 03:48:52 PM
I have a vacation home.  I have a telephone transponder hooked up with (1) universal module.  The module is plugged in below the thermostat for the forced air furnace, and the thermostat wire is run through the module.  This way when I call I can turn the heat on/off.  My problem is sometimes, and there is no rhyme or reason to when, the module clicks off.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Do not use the unit code part of the address that matches the third security dial setting.
Like if your security code is 1-2-3. Don't use the Unit code 3 for your module.
When the phone rings. The address of House Code+Unit Code is sent an string of on and off commands. It could be possible it maybe interfering with the UM506 if it is sending an on off to its address.

If your not using the unit code that is security code wheel three. Never mind.  ;D

It is the only unit I have so it is set to #1, my code is 1,1,2.  So I press 1, 1, 2, 1, * to turn it on
