Title: POWERLINE & RF
Post by: lorcott on January 30, 2011, 02:52:38 PM
this is weird. I have Activehome Pro with CM15A interface and a device on the circuit breaker box that bonds the two phases together. I haven't really done anything new with the system in a while (the CM15A keeps cranking out the commands) but now I'm gearing up for a "facelift" of my system.

Here's a weird one. I have a module (TM751) plugged in and can trigger it with a number of RF controllers. However, when I go to just POWERLINE, it doesn't respond. In fact, using BVC I can see the module trigger on the Activehome module page, but if BVC is set to POWERLINE only, the device doesn't turn on. Yet, when BVC is set to POWERLINE & RF, it triggers.

Any thoughts???

Normal.
The TM751 has no power line receiver in it. It only can be controlled by an X10 RF command.
That is also why it is not polite. It doesn't know when it is stepping on a power line signal.
