Title: lights dim to on?

i have a 3pole switch, that for some reason, when you turn the light on, it starts out dim and finally gets to full brightness. what would cause this to happen?

If the "dim-up" takes about 2 seconds, it's normal. Called "SoftStart" by X10, it is designed to extend bulb life.  The switch will dim down to OFF also.
