Title: Motion sensor randomly stops with cm15a

I am a brand new user to x10. Due to range problems i currently have the cm15a along with a socket rocket and motion sensor for the basement hall light, it works fine there. Every now and then though, the light will not come on due to motion. I have to unplug the cm15a and plug it in and then it works.

There is no pc connected to it at this time.

Also all the links for the range mod for the cm15a or expired or missing, i already have the f connectors from rat shack but i dont have a tutorial, is there an updated tutorial?

I plan to make a site to host all the x10 tutorials, tips and tricks since most of them are gone now.

Or at least host them in google docs. Google lasts forever.

great thanks, about the issue with the cm15a needing to be unplugged any ideas on that?

i wouldnt want to void the warranty on it to find its defective

One difference between the accessha and the shed tutorial.
accessha use the VSS pad for the F connector ground. I believe the pad shed picked was floating as it was originally for the receiver subassembly.
I have done the accessha mod to one of my CM15As myself.

With the PC off. Is the USB cable still between the PC and the CM15A?

No i just left it in the hall with the motion sensor and the socket rocket. Every now and then it does that. Well ill say its done it 2 times in the past 2 wks. A simple unplug and replug of the cm fixes it, but i dont want to HAVE to do that.
