iHouse has gone "open source"! Since the developer, TJ Trolinger, no longer has the time to devote to it, he has made the source code available. See his post here: http://www.ihousehomeautomation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=472 (http://www.ihousehomeautomation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=472)
Those of us who love iHouse (a number that continues to grow) hope some of you experienced VB developers will pick up the gauntlet and carry the product forward!
Those willing and able to help are encouraged to post to the iHouse forum.

thanks for the link...I will take a look at it.

I've had a look at this but with out any Zwav devices one can't test this aspect of the program.
Since the Zwav SDK is no longer supported that part may be obsolete.
In any case I get a Zwav error when I try to debug.
I'm thinking it needs some componet of the SDK that isn't included in the code.
The Zwav.dll is there however.
Humm may be a Win 7 64 bit issue too ::) :'

Can anyone that doesn't have ZWave get this to compile?
The error seems to reference a sGen file I would assume it is looking for a serial number.
Maybe info from a ZWave stick? ???
Update:
Dopey me ! ::) :'
I forgot how windows security handles downloaded zipped files!
It now compiles error free! :)%

Tuicemen, Can you clarify comment re zipped files and windows security? I cannot get it to compile either. thanks
-
When you download the zipped file windows adds a security feature.
You have to go into the properties of the zipped file.
At the bottom of the general tab you'll see security under atributes
You need to click the unblock button.
Once you have done that unzip the file and you should be ready to go!
