Title: Inline wired transceiver?
Post by: estoril on May 31, 2011, 04:05:06 PM
I would like to be able to turn on/off an outside porch light that is currently always "on" but uses a day/night sensor to activate the flood lights. As it stands there is no switch to override the light nor do I have a convenient place to install one. My hope was to use a Slimline Switch (SS13a) to wirelessly control the light. However I have no outlet that I can plug a transceiver into since the light is hardwired into a junction box. Ideally I would like to add a transceiver that would control power to the line ruining out to the light.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have room in the junction box for a wire in XPFM module?

You would need a RR501, or TM751 transceiver and the SS13 to complete the project.

That is EXACTLY what I am looking for. Thank you! I just wasn't sure what it was called.

I use a PRO Wall Switch Appliance Module to control a Floodlight Motion Detector
