Title: Wall switch wiring

Hello, I have moved to a new apartment and wanted to install my brand new wall switch modules, however on previous home the wall switches had only 2 cables (which matches the wall switch module) but all the wall switches on the new home have 2 black cables in one side and 1 white cable in the other side. They are not 3 way switches and I don't know how to do the connections. Could you please help?

Lets make sure we understand. Are the two black wires wrapped under one screw? If so you still have a "two wire" switch.
How many separate screws, with black or white wires, are there on the switch?
