That doesn't sound like a CM15A, but rather a CM11A.
If it is a CM11A, then the CM15A adds more memory, the ability to send and receive RF commands, and capabilities (using plugins in AHP) to have SmartMacros, work with security sensors, allow remote access, and a whole host of other fancy bells and whistles.
No it has CM15A printed on the backside.
how about a pic?
Okay, maybe I misread your original e-mail.
By "without the ougoing plug," do you mean that it doesn't have an attached cable?
That's the way they all are (to my knowledge).
Perhaps you are confusing the CM15a with the CM19A (small, black, and has the cable attached).
THAT one is ONLY RF, and has no direct PLC (powerline) abilities. It can transmit to the pwoerline using a TM751 or RR501 RF receiver, but it cannot receive powerline commands. It also doesn't have any memory in it. Everything must be run from the Pc.
Thanks I got confused with some photos on x10 website.
Since X10 sells AHP kits with the CM15A or CM19A and TM751. It can be quite confusing.
You are 100% right. X10 needs to be beaten with switch irons (a streetcar term for the iron bars use to throw switches) for introducing the CM19A. Having both the CM15A and the CM19A just confuses new customers.
