Title: Connecting WS12A and WS14A
Post by: ed3120 on July 14, 2011, 09:48:48 AM
I have a WS12A and WS14A combination that I am trying to connect in a 3-way switch environment.  I find the instructions very confusing and when I hook it up, it doesn’t seem to work.

I have my power going into "Box 1" with the WS12A.  In "Box 2"...I have the WS14A, as well as a wire leading to the light that I want to switch.  Between the 2 boxes, I have a 3 way (red/white/black) wire.  I’m just looking for the way I should connect these things together.  The instructions don’t provide a diagram for my situation. See the attached diagram for my current setup.

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me!

I think you have them backward.
Check out the second diagram in this link:

The WS12A goes closer to the light, the WS14A goes closer to the incoming line.
