Title: Possible to send email upon motion detection from EagleEye?
Post by: shoebox56 on August 18, 2011, 06:17:09 PM
Hi

Using EagleEye, is it possible to send an email when a motion is detected?

I am very new to X10 world, still studying what's offered.  I've been scanning the forum and so far, "I think", the ActiveHome will do it, but not sure.  Please confirm.

Thanks.

What controller do you have?
I know it can be done with a CM15A, Activehome Pro
and a PC running 24/7. Trigger a macro with the ms and use advanced
Functions from the pulldown menu on the right.

I don't have any controller right now.  Didn't really know what to get till I know the email option is possible.  Thanks for the information.

What Advanced Function would you use to send an E Mail?
Do you have to use the "windows command" function, which requires a Command/Argument?    If so, do you have to write a batch program to actually send the E Mail or is there something in AHP that will send it for you.

Thanks

Oops.  Ignore my last post.   I did not have the "My House" module installed, so the "e mail" function was not shown.   With the "On Alert" and "My House" module I now see the E amil advanced function.
