Alright I have 4 door/window sensors running on my ds7000, well the thing is I try putting all my lamp/appliance modules on different code numbers as the system itself and then they don't work, if I set for example my ds7000 on code c with my door/win sensor as 1,2,3,4 ... well I skipped a couple numbers and did my lamp/appliance module as 6,7,8,9...etc. and that seemed to work fine, but is that right? I didn't need the tm751 at all. I don't think there's a problem with it, but I have 2 of them anyways, I can hear it click on and off, although it doesn't do anything.

Do you have Active Home Pro? What Version? We need more information to help you.

The TM751's are used to transceive an X10 RF device. Like a remote or standard motion sensor and send the commands on the power lines to modules, on the same House Code. The D7000 console also transceives RF signals on the Security House Code.
So no the TM751's are not needed if you are using the SAME House Code on the Security Console and on the modules you are controlling.
Security Door/Window Sensors do not use a standard X10 address so they don't have a House Code. They communicate directly to the console.
