Title: 3.5mm powered speakers for 2 way voice
Post by: xboxhaxorz on November 02, 2011, 06:18:11 PM
I have a camera i am setting up for my door cam. I have a mic connected, and i want to have a speaker connected, but most of the mini speakers are usb and those that are 3.5mm have a 9 hr rechargeable battery life.

Are you in US?  Look at computer speakers at Staples, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. All the ones I have seen are mini phone plug, with wall wart power supply, not USB.

It works with 100-240VAC

Well basically i am trying to avoid having to set another power wire. I just want to plug in the speakers the same way i do with my microphone, or use HPhones.

I suppose i could tap into the cameras power but i would rather avoid that :(

Google for unpowered pc speakers.
Several gazillion hits priced at under a $1 and upwards.
I'm not sure they'd give a decent volume, but you can have a look.
