Title: Options with Motion Detector
Post by: bruberg on March 19, 2012, 11:24:25 AM
Is it possible with a MS14A to have a timed event for outside lights, say 6pm to 11pm, and then from 11pm till daylight, work off of the motion detector?
Thanks

Are you asking if it's possible to have the motion turn lights on only between certain periods?  If so, then yes if you have smart macros.  If so, just add a flag on a timer for when you want the lights to be available.  Set a macro so that when the motion is seen and the flag is active, turn the lights on.

Thanks for the info. I'll try that option soon. To clarify, the goal is for the outside lights to turn on, say at 7:30pm, and off at 11:00pm. Then from 11:00pm to daylight the next morning, it would work off of the motion detector.

A motion sensor sends a on signal when motion is detected and a off signal after a period of no motion.
Keep the address of it different then the lights, or your macros/timers will not behave the way you wish.
