Title: Transciever working but the appliance module not working.
Post by: snowcat on May 12, 2012, 06:14:59 AM
I'm controlling the transciever though remote control.
Transciever can transmitt signal to the socket module.
but the appliance module on the transciever itself is not working.
anyone know how to fix?

You are no the first user to report this.

Is the outlet always ON?
The sales page for the TM751 now says Always On pass through outlet.
It looks like X10 eliminated the internal On Off switch and hard wired the outlet always ON.
Is there a small Local Control Button on the front of the TM751? I believe others have reported a sticker over the front panel hole where it use to be.

If it is a pass through outlet, as the X10 sales pages say. There would be no fix, as there is no internal switch to control.

Does it have the small local On Off push button on the front and does it turn it On and Off?

OK.
A TM13 is a European model.
So ignore my information on an X10 TM751.

If it worked at one time and now it doesn't. It may have an internal failure.

Try rotating the House Code Dial a few times. We have seen an occasional dirty dial switch cause the setting to not be what the arrow is pointing to.

thanks for the advise.
socket module A2 is still working. so the transciever has no problem recieving signal from house code A and sending the signal to the wall. the transciever is connected to a 10W desk lamp(A1), which only A1 is not working. not sure if connecting such a low Watt appliance will cause problems.

it was new too. just a week old. Australian(winplus) model actually. too bad australia's brand doesn't have their own support page, so i've no where to ask.

Try here for a TM13 manual.

The manual indicates it can do all sixteen house codes so even if the dial was on A and the contacts made it look like a B. A2 would still work fine.
No problem on asking about modules for different locations. We always try and assist if possible. Some of the neat modules available to others we don't have.

If the internal appliance switch does not work on any House Code. It may have failed.
I have not seen any schematics for the TM13 so I don't know what you could look for. If you are technically inclined.
