Title: ActiveHome Pro sync w/ CM15A issue
Post by: OUguy on September 17, 2012, 05:01:53 PM
When I try to download the programs to my CM15A, ActiveHome Pro crashes.  Says there is some kind of issue and windows needs to close it.  I cannot get any of my x10 modules to work unless they sync.  I have reinstalled software and home pro will delet the memory on the cm15a but i cannot sync.  Any suggestions???

What version of AHP do you have?  Is this a new PC or one you already have?  What version of Windows?

3.318 is AHP with Windows 7.  I have downloaded before, but for some reason it will no longer do it.

If you have not tried it yet. Maybe a total reset may help.
Disconnect the CM15A from the USB Cable, unplug it and remove the batteries for a few minutes. Then try from scratch.

I would suggest putting all your .ahx files on separate memory and then uninstalling AHP.  Make sure the uninstall worked, then make sure all traces of AHP are gone, then reinstall AHP and make sure it works before adding any.  The .ahx files are your files so add the one you use most.

Making progress!  I have tried to download to interface like you said without opening my current .ahx files.  Now it says that I do not have enough room on my interface however I have cleared all memory from it.  0.0% used.

Try setting the dusk/dawn resolution to a different setting. The higher the resolution (smaller number of days), the more space it takes up in the CM15A's memory.

You do have a CM15A and not the CM11A that AHP was tweaked to run on?
I have seen that message when I was playing with AHP on a CM11A.

there's a little computer icon downloading to an interface icon on ahp, but with no status bar.  it just says downloading, but i do not know what it could be doing.

Maybe your .ahx file for your actual settings was corrupt and the sample .ahx was OK.
